what do I need for an alternator upgrade from an s4 to a s5
I know this has been posted before but every time i go to search I get all the wrong threads. Can I just buy a s5 alternator and bolt it on? If not what do I need? Thanks. 87 GXL headers w/straight exhaust

why stop with just an s5 alternator. Why not go with the FD alternator. its rated at 100amps instead of the s4 60 amps and s5 80 amps. silverrotor is selling them but will stop soon. Its a really good deal and I havent heard of any downfalls or complaints.

i agree with fc3seeker. when i saw the title of your thread i was going to suggest the same thing. i bought one from him and i highly recommend it. unless you're getting the s5 on for almost free, you wouldn't regret it.
