I hate my car :(
Ugh, after attempting to remove my bumper, I came to the conclusion that I really hate my car. I broke over 20 bolts in the process of removing just the front bumper and the engine pan. Does anyone have ANY ideas how to remove those broken bolts/where I can get replacements?
You must turn the bolts counter clockwise to remove them
Replacements at Mazda dealers, local junk yards, some autoparts stores.
Drill them and easyout them to remove them.

I'm well aware of how to remove them, it's just quite sad when you can use one finger of torque on them and they snap like it was made of butter. How can I drill them out without screwing up the holes?
SonicRaT,
I went through this on some of the rusted bolts. Go get some nice carbon drill bits (cuts em' like butta') and some reverse thread drill bits.
Get some 10mm x 7mm bolts, 10mm x7mm nuts, 7mm & 1/4inch washers, and 7mm lockwashers. You might also like the 10mm x7mm screw heads for areas that show.
Don't forget you'll need double the washers per bolt.
Hope this helps. The new bolts look better and are better quality as well.
Remember righty tighty lefty loosey.
Lowes has a better selection than West or Home Depot.

Yeah, my total count is 28 broken bolts underneath the front end.... How sad
I have about 100 10x7's & washers & nuts & locks, i just need to get these god damn broken ones out of the holes!

a trick that sometimes works on stubborn bolts is to spray the **** out of them with WD-40, and to give a small TIGHTENING torque first, and then a loosening torque. Remember, only a small tightening torque, don't crank the hell out of it.

I was using sockets, you can't make a mistake with those!
Ask SkippyDog, he was helping me, they were braking off with less than 1 finger of torque, hardly any force at all and they just snap right off, so I'm in the proccess of drilling and retapping them all, what a pain in the ***! I did however manage to cap off my power steering, and I filled it with fluid before I capped it, and now it's about 25% easier to steer it while it's sitting. I'm definatly happy, I sort of did a cheap rig-job cap but it works!
