I got no powah!
I got no powah!
Well i go to turn my car on and I don't get anything, won't crank. I start to get a click like the battery is dead but it goes away after about a 1/2 second. The battery is good, i tested it. The only thing i can think it would be is either a battery cable or the starter but i don't think the starter would just **** on itself like that, it never showed signs of wear. So today i went to the local auto parts store and picked up a negative and positive cable. I only messed with the positive cable due to decreased sun light. I notice the cable on the car had two wires coming from it and the new one only had one. One wire went to the main fuse under the hood and the other disappeared into the engine bay, I assume it went to the starter. So i put the new cable in and ran it to the main fuse then just rigged the other wire up to the positive terminal and let her rip. I had power to my lights, and the beeper for the door being open went off but that was it. Any help/advice on the situation would be helpful.

You probably have your battery hooked up backwards
remember the neg terminal of the battery is forward, near the headlight, while the positive factory battery lead is back near the shock tower.
And how did you test your battery? Do you have a load tester???

no its hooked up right...don't know how it got tested...a mechanic at work tested it on this machine we have...i just watched, he said there is absolutely nothing wrong with it though...the tester said "Battery is good"
Nope, hasn't been sitting around, I was leaving for work in the morning so it sat overnight. Yes everything else has power, the headlights came up no problem, didn't check the radio, the door beeper was going off when i put the key in(the door was open).

Problem fixed...I guess the connection to the battery was shitty because I took the new cable off and redid the old connection and tightened everything thing down real well and now it starts fine with no problems. Thanks for the help folks.
