Enjoyed the cars ALOT, too much was faked or just plain wrong, I take that as an insult, they think the car crowd are so stupid they will not notice some of the idiotic things in the movie. Great idea but poorly done, in movie 2 they need to get some real car fanatics to give advise and help keep things more realistic. I bought it anyway cause there are some nice cars in it. = )

Perhaps some of you can answer a question for me about the Nitrous. They use a (shot) I hear so is it like a single spray of NOS when they hit the button or what? I used to run Nitrous back in high school (86-89) but it was nothing like that. I ran 2 different plate systems on 2 different cars, both had a gas solenoid and a Nitrous solenoid, one had 100 HP nosels and one had 250 hp nosels but on both you had to hold down the button. If you just pushed it for a second you'd get a second worth of boost. Both were auto tranny cars so I could hold the button as long as I wanted as long as I was at full throttle. How does it work with Manual trannies? What happens at gear shifts or is that was the (shot) is made for?

Chalk it up to lame Hollywood dramatization. Every NOS setup I've seen has one switch and one button. The switch "arms" the system, and the button "activates" the system. Most have an RPM switch that disables the shot above or blow a preset point (in case the driver holds the button down too long). Basically, it's no different from your old setups, you've just got to be a lot more careful about pressing the button at too-low RPMs.

Then again, there are all sorts of spiffy computer-controlled NOS setups now... the Viper (?) one is the coolest I've seen - it's an always-on system that meters NOS based on RPM, load, etc. Pretty neato.

3 Rotors

In Turbo Magazine they had the cars from the The Fast and Furious and the RX-7 was a 3 Rotor in the magazine. A pretty awesome conversion job as well, most of it polished. So that would explain the 3 rotor stuff you saw in the movie. However one fact that Turbo Magazine had wrong was that the 3 Rotor only put out like 275HP.
