i cant get my TPS set right (series5)

i am trying to adjust my TPS to get the widerange TPS down to 1.00 ohms. the throttle is all the way out and the butterflies are as closed as they can be and i cant get my safc to read below 1.3 volts. the multimeter was reading the same as the safc throttle reading so i figured i'd just use the safc.

what am i doing wrong?

I think you can only adjust the narrow range.. since thats the only one with a adjustment screw.

It's ONE THOUSAND ohm or 1k-ohms, not ONE ohm.

and if i leave it at 1.2, the car will just die and wont hold an idle.

Oh, that's not good.
What do you get when the throttle is all the way open?

That's weird.
Are you doing this with a modded TB or with the engine cold or hot?

Are your throttle stops causing this problem? I solved this before by readjusting the throttle stop.

negative i backed the throttle stop out to the point where it was not stopping anything. i was thinking that maybe i have some buildup on my butterflies not letting them close all the way?

Ported engine?

I noticed you still have your BAC - does it have the adjust screw on it?

does it sound ported? its a damn jspec so there's no telling. its also open downpipe, and i've never really heard a turboII open downpipe let alone a ported one open downpipe.

Yeah, it sounds ported, especially since your boost gauge shows a fairly steady vacuum reading.

Yeah, I was afraid the BAC didn't come with an adjust screw.

Does the car drive good?  If it does, I wouldn't worry about the TPS adjust.

doesnt drive GREAT, but not bad. it drives great in vacuum. it cuts out a lil and also feels like its pulling a little timing if i get in boost, then the CEL comes on.
