i can't figure this out.

i have a 87 tii and it take forever to start. it just starts at 500 rpm and then dies. when it warms up it idles at 700-800 rpm but 30 sec later drops down to 500. what can this be? i checked the tps, uninstalled the intercooler and just checked all the wiring and what not. any advice would be great. thanks

start checking the fuel system. could be fuel filter if you haven't changed it recently

timing, idle screw not adjust properly, also vac leak. Maybe low compression.

Does it run fine when it warms up? The first few symptoms sound like your motor is shot.
