I believe I have bad coolant seals...
I just tried the removal of the EGI fuse and with the filler cap and starting the car....coolant didn't pour out, it was like a fountain. Each time I tried to start, it would fountain out in chuncks. I'm pretty sure this is a bad coolant seal. The car is also hard to start along with the fact that cooling system is overpressurizing after it has been warmed. I have changed the cap and it stopped for a bit...until now.
Should I bother changing the thermostat and/or hoses?
I have called a rotary rebuild shop and they gave me the price of $4.5k for a rebuild.
I'm having a terrible FML right now...

It was something about how the coolant could have possibly eroded the engine and how they would have to be cleaned and stuff.
What's the price some of you guys were told? I looked on Mazatrix and it was like $2k...is that about right?

You guys are also forgetting the cost of removal and replacement. Also, alot of shops require the replacement of coolant hoses and various secondary gaskets when swapping or rebuilding the engine in any car to reduce the chance of the new engine failing.
