So I'm getting mine de-powered soon because my turbo is so big and its right in the way of the lines

Junkyard, for sale section of forums, if you have infinity thousand dollars Mazda might still produce them new. Your best bet is to look at S4 SE/base and sport models.

Dont worry too much about the powersteering my car needed the belt for the PS but after a while you get used to plus it fun to see my friends struggle to move my car with two hands

( they thought they could steal it and drive off but they were two weak to move the wheel ) while i drive it with one hand like nothing

agree on s5 na power steering suckage. The s4 t2 power steering is infinitely easier at low speed and high speed.

I hated the power steering on my convertible. It seemed like if I was at parking lot speeds and turned quickly from left to right, it couldn't keep up and lost power for a second. I know other people had the same issue. Very dangerous.... Then again the TII might be different... Anyways, I depowered the rack properly and never had that issue again : )

Yeah, beltless PS is crazy. I drove my old true manual rack after driving beltless PS for a couple years and mistook it for a PS rack.

This is a huge misconception. Taking the PS belt off of a powered rack does not simulate what the car will be like without power steering. You are actually fighting the fluids inside the rack when you do this, which will make the wheel harder to turn. There are good rightups on how to properly de-power a rack. Just seach.

I have a properly depowered rack on my FC and my 91 Miata. I don't run anything too sticky for tires on my FC as it is just my daily driver. However on my 91 Miata, which wears R-Comps all the time, you definately have to put more muscle into your steering inputs.

I haven't seen any on my 1986 GXL and it's a vehicle speed sensing type.

Those are for the ABS system, not the steering.

Re read my post. To rephrase it, belt less power steering is very hard. But after you are used to that, driving a true manual makes the manual rack feel like power steering because its so easy to use.

My car is full depowered now.
