Did you delete your AC and Air pump? And did you relocate your battery to fit the intercooler piping?

Cheers.car came with operated deleted and when I put the motor in I deleted the a/c too.and battery was just plonked in the back so I put it in a battery box in the left rear seat well when I removed the seat.the washer bottle would also be in the way so I relocated the rear bottle to infront of the rad next to the overflow and wired it to a new switch.I never had the battery,AC or powersteer pump up front so couldn't say if they were in the way but I don't think PS and AC would be.

That's how it was. I found out that putting a fmic in front of a stock radiator makes it overheat. I bought a radiator... it didn't fit... so I made it fit:

What kind of rad are you running now that it wouldn't fit?

It was a Godspeed radiator, but apparently there are good ones and bad ones. I think the Godspeed company sublets their work out to random places. This random place that did mine ended up welding the heater nipple on the lower pipe in such a position that it would hit the sway bar when properly mounted. It's still a good radiator though. I haven't had an issue with it at all, and it cools really well.

Yes. Decent quality, but the radiator was probably built by a disgruntled 9 year old in China.

Are you guys all running aftermarket rads with your FMIC? I was thinking of going with a koyo or corksport rad with a rad panel to increase flow to the rad

I also painted my IC pipes black, couldn't stand having such a metallic look in an old engine bay. Compared to the old engine, it stood out too much, maybe when I rebuild my engine I'll sand off the paint and have the everything in their looking nice!

I used an old hks core, not sure what it was from origionally, and then I used a universal ebay intercooler piping kit

goals, no custom welding piping, keep power steering, keep battery, no custom oil cooler lines, minimal cutting of the chassis, I ended up only cutting 1 hole on the turbo side, the driver side pipes actually fit where the oil lines normally went.

to make it work I did end up having to move the oil cooler a few inches, and make custom brackets for it but I was able to use the racing beat lines still. also I needed to trim the driverside radiator bracket

then I did cut one of the outlet pipes off the IC and spin it around a bit

air filter I cut a hole in the chassis and routed it down to the brake cooling duct

This is the latest from CXRacing/RotaryWorks... the install was surprisingly easy compared to the other crappy stuff I've had to return from them.

hows your cooling system? you put a big IC in front of the radiator you are more than likely going to have cooling issues. but a quick search will answer all the questions that you are going to have in the near future
