I know, I've ready had this chat with some of the other members. I know what to avoid and what to do to prevent such thing happening
This was my old FMIC set-up. I never really ran into any harmful cooling issues. Though I did see some uncomfortable air intake, oil, and water/coolant temperatures traveling through the summer heat in Wyoming. I had the stock clutch fan, stock shroud, and stock undertray, but used a Koyo radiator. I did remove the A/C, which I ended up regretting with the Illinois summers. Here in Washington it isn't so bad at all.
With more time, I would have went with a sandwich mount. With more time and money... I would have gone V-mount. Hands down.
Overall, My FMIC experience was "okay". The whole set-up could have been planned out a bit better. It produced some great results. But not my cup of tea. Since then, I've ditched this set-up.

Man, that's a nice set up hahaha I also don't have to worry about over heating my car from too large of an intercooler, well cause I live in Alberta Canada, hottest days we get around here are about 32 degrees Celsius (89 Fahrenheit) if we're lucky... Hahaha

Not sure who's setup you talking about but yeah 30 degrees max in ole Auckland nz but humidity gets crazy. Don't know if that's a factor.

Talking about the worry of starving the rad with the intercooler and causing it to over heat and it's Alberta hahahaha next to nothing for humidity LoL
Yeah haha bet you don't. How many months out of a year you see snow? I meant you said"man that's a nice setup" with no reference to who's setup you're referring to but hey there all nice so far.

Oh, sorry, most defiantly misread that... And about seven months out of the year, give or take a few, but it does give me lots of time to work on my car and not a whole lot of, 'damn I wish it was on the road right now' hahaha
Here is Digi7ech's set-up. "Sandwich Mount" - This has quite a few benefits compared to a standard FMIC set-up.

And here is an intercooler that Aaron Cake fabricated to minimize the use of lengthy intercooler piping.

It's great, but I most certainly wouldn't sacrifice air conditioning for it. I'm sure there's a way to get around that though. I mean, I maintained air conditioning with a Vmount.
