looks pretty good. Harbor freight has a powder coater for like 60 bucks. You might be able to try it out on some of the exhaust componets, I was curious about how good it was.

Having a powder coater is one thing.. Having the kiln/oven is another.

Exactly. I'm sure that's how they get a lot of people that just don't know the process.

I had a friend with a harbor freight powder coater... worked pretty good. But, in my area, all of the ceramics shops (only a handful), only one would allow me to bake anything other than ceramics in it. And the kiln/oven they wanted me to use was TINY... I might as well have used my home oven. Which WOULD work for teeny stuff I think.. Not sure how hot exactly the powder coating needs to get....

heh well some dumbass painted my car... so i'm sure yours is better

i dont have a pic of where the hard black plastic on the windows has white paint bled over on it in like 4 or 5 different places, but yeh i think those pics show what a half *** job will do after a few years. no idea when it was last painted but i'm assuming it had at least one paint job over the original stock.

HAHAH damn. That looks exactly like my car. No paint above the license plate, chips all on the grill and around the fog lights, and overspray everywhere especially the window moldings. $250 Earl Scheibe paint job! I've been touching up the grill with Kragen paint and used Carb Cleaner to get the paint off of most of the moldings, just don't let that stuff touch your paint. Of course I didn't paint it, previous owner did. I would spend a lot more for a paint job.

What is a reputable company and reasonable price for a decent paint job?

yeh no doubt. i mean my car was flooded up past the wheels (lol) before i bought it so its no big deal. well at least thats what i think, as the rear trunk had about 3 feet of water in it and the radio was shot ignition coils corroded etc, but no leaks. got me $1000 off the asking price so i was like word. aftermarket radio, new coils, a wet/dry vacuum... heh.

the front grille i think isnt Supposed to be painted at all, so the paint is chipping off because its the '2nd paint job' that was done like *****. the part over the license plate i dunno wtf the deal with that is because theres no original paint either apparently lol. and the overspray on the flip up lights and such... bleh!

to the other person: no i think the car used to be white and was painted white again? not sure though. i'm doubting its the original 18 year old paint job tho.

im taking rust remover, paint remover, some primer and touch up spray to it this month tho so yeh heh
