How to trick the low coolant level sensor?

My other car is missing the sensor and i want to temporarily trick the car into thinking its there so the buzzer will shut up. Ill get a sensor eventually. I just want to spend the least amount of money on this thing as possible until i know it will run ok.

NO, a lack of ground makes the coolant sensor trigger.

That is how the sensor works. By reading a ground through the coolant to the engine. No ground = buzzer

I hope the above means you still have the wire but it's not grounded, so you're actually using the sensor?

the buzzer line runs along the front frame rail, right? I tried unplugging mine a while back and it wouldn't activate the buzzer or coolant light... anyone dealt with that before?

Why would you want to do this? If your buzzer is going off. Fix the problem, don't put a bandaid over it. My buzzer works, but I never hear that damn thing go off, only when im changing the coolant or if I disconnect the wire.

I unplugged it to test it, unless you're talking to the OP.

I have the same problem... unplugged my sensor and no buzzer.\

Edit: I believe the fault lies in the coolant level unit, which is in the gauge cluster...

I'm betting alexdimen is right because if the sensor itself were bad it would never ground which should make the buzzer go off...
