how to tell s4 and s5 turbos apart

ok im a 1st gen guy and i bought a fc turbo... i was showing a friend(87 t2) and told him it was a s5... he said it wasnt....something about the waste gate... how can i tell the diffrence?

s5 turbo II's will have two wastegate passages. The wastegate actuating arm is going to be bent as well.

s4 t2's will have only one wastegate passage and a straight actuator arm.

Like he said, bent wastegate arm, on the s4 one of the exhaust inlets on the turbo is smaller than the other, I dont believe the s5 is because they used a divided manifold.
