How to tell the difference?

Hey, I picked up an RX7 diff for free that the guy said was TII... I was just wondering (before I put it in my car...), is there any way to tell if it is a TII diff from the outside?
Is there anything I should go over on it to make sure that its working properly?
The guy gave it to me cause he was moving and didnt want to take it with him...
Thanks

Snuffs

The TII rear is larger than the N/A rear (7" ring gear to 8" ). Check the bolt pattern on the yoke. The TII rear is larger as are the half shafts and flange on diff.
