the s5 has a electric OMP,on the bottom of the s4 (by the oil pan) there some actuator that the s5 doesnt have,on the side of the motor the s4 has 4 electric solenoid plugs, s5 has 3
that should be good enough,i had to actually do the samething but over the phone so it sucked even more
and if your looking for a s5 tranny(which i believe is better than a s4)the pan on the bottom has 12mm on the s5, 10mm on the s4
good luck

The OMP or more correctly labeled by the FSM - MOP is an oil pump that injects small amounts of motor oil into the rotor chambers. This serves to keep the apex seals lubricated and aids in the compression.

ahhh cool thanks.
THe motor is not going into an Rx-7. Do the older ones have less electronics that the newer ones, or are they pretty much the same?
Is it just the compressiont hat make up the differnce in HP (probably not). But is the turbo btter, intercooler better, oiling system better or jsut different?

Good job on the triple post. There is no pan that I know of on the N/A transmissions. I do not recall one on a turbo transmission either, but I might be wrong. It has been a while since I saw a turbo transmission.
