Spray a bunch of carb cleaner in there. Then you need to apply +12V and ground to the terminals. Take two wires and strip a few inches off of each end. Put one end on a +12V source--a 14V cordless drill battery, a car battery, whatever. You can tie it on to the terminal/post or whatever. Then the other side of the wire will touch the terminals of the BAC valve connector.

You can use that method to make it rapidly open and close easily. That will work the carb cleaner inside the valve and break up any crap that has built up in there.

Too bad the BAC valve is not really an emissions component in the strictest sense of the word. It is an idle air control valve. Don't confuse it with the accelerated warmup system.

do use some carb cleaner to break up any gunk but dont saturate it,you never know if you may be damaging something electrical inside,do it a few times, drain well and then i like to spray a little silicone lubricant in there, the thin stuff, not heavy film type, reason is there are moving parts in there they need to stay lubed to work properly

5) Loose driveability and come here asking why your idle is rough and you need to hold the gas to warm up the car or keep it from stalling at the lights.

Not saying that's you, but a lot of people mess things up (i.e. vacuum leaks) and get rid of things unnecessarily for modest to no power gains.

You do not loose drivability .. instead of using the BAC for idle control you bump it up to 950-1000 and its golden.
