How to saftly adjust boost with a Manual Boost Controller???

I was wondering whats the safest way to adjsut boost with a MBC since there is no screen showing how much im boosting until i drive the car...

Also, what would be a safe boost to run with my setup:

S5 j-spec engine
custom FMIC
HKS Intake
Full 3" exhaust (maybe 2.5" depending if i can get a good deal on a 3" setup)
FCD
stock injectors

well, you could put some 100 octane unleaded race gas in it if you're really worried about detonating...

Drive car and note max boost
Stop car, open valve a small amount
Drive car and note new max boost
If it's too much boost, close the valve a bit; iIf it's not enough boost, open the valve a bit
Drive car and note new max boost
Repeat until you have the boost you want

ummm do you have some sort of fuel management? you didnt mention anything you will be tuning with, so i wouldnt boost anything over stock. the FCD is going to let you blow your engine if you dont get bigger injectors and some sort of piggyback or standalone.

plumb the MBC into the cabin....

for the cost of a few feet of vac line you can dial it in on the fly

edit: Im a lucky bastard, I have the old school racing beat in cabin MBC with boost gauge, its uber sick....

Stock Ems? Stock fuel pump? Stock injectors?

Remove that FCD before it blows your engine.

I'd run 8.5 PSI. on 91 octane, at least.

FCD's are bad news. You'll need an aftermarket boost gauge as well thier easier to read, stock one sucks.
