could anyone tell me how could i run 14-18lbs of boost without running to lean? How much fuel pressure would i need in order to run that much boost? And does anyone have a front mount intercooler for a 89 turbo 2? and a full 3in exhuast system?

 

i run 14-16 #'s with FMIC and Racing Beat 3' exhaust but they are not available.
i have upgraded fuel pump but stock injectors.

 

14 -- you're borderline in the unsafe zone with the stock turbo.
18 -- look into an upgraded turbo, fmic, four 720cc's, walbro, fpr

Its not the fuel pressure, I'd be worried if you'll be having ENOUGH fuel. Why 14-18lbs of boost? The stock turbo gets very inefficient at higher boost. It won't make more power, just heat.

For starters, you'll need a fuel pump. Maybe new injectors and an SAFC or another fuel controller helps depending how much boost you want to run.

This guy thinks he ran 12s in the 1/4. He doesnt know how to mod his car. He told me he has blown several engines.

Get rid of the stock ecu already

 

Something I learned a long time ago about people who want to run lots of boost it that they generally only want this for bragging rights.

Boost does not correlate to power. 18psi on a stock turbo will result in less power than a well-sorted T04 or similar on 10psi, plus it'll probably be dead in a week.

You don't modifiy an engine with a boost target in mind. You start with a power target and find a turbo that'll make that power using the least boost possible and still be suitable for the driving you do.
