TB Mod side effects?

Please post yours. If you have experience with this, what do I avoid to minimize negative side effects? Is there anything specific i have to watch out for? I think i'll buy a spare TB and work on it in the meantime, so as to not ruin my stock one.

Anyway thanks
-Ross

When you stomp the gas, the car can bog if it is below a couple thousand rpm. If you feed it in more gradually, it isn't a problem. And of course, if you remove the thermowax you end up holding a foot on the gas for a minute or two when starting up. Sometimes I need to use left foot braking during the first few minutes of the drive. I'm planning on building a work-around to this problem using the stock thermowax and a throttle body bypass tube.

For some reason i dont have these problems. And i've removed the BAC, and have stopped coolant from flowing around the TB. Also have removed the 2ndary throttle plates.

I've noticed the bog every so often. if i'm below 2500 and i stomp it. You have to learn to feather the accell, so to speak.

No work-around is required. If you want a decent cold idle then leave the thermowax on. Just remove the #2 secondary throttles and their linkages.

^^^ THIS IS TRUE

I assume the warmer climates down south here are somewhat forgiving when it comes to haveing the TB mod completed

I had the bog, but for some odd reason, putting the Walbro in cured it. Dont ask me why. I can romp the pedal from idle, no bog whatsoever.
