Buy a hybrid, get a stand alone, injectors and a pump and be happy.

You're using stock parts. Upgrade the turbo, injectors and get a standalone and you can make all the power you want.

Do yourself a favor and go with a full standalone and get rid of the afm.

230 on an rx-7 will easily take most of the 30k sports cars out there: STi, Evo, 350z, or at the very least make it driver's race.

Would it be possible for me to make 330 with a power fc, fmic and a bigger turbo?

I don't see why not. My friend has a large streetported, dowelled s5 motor, running stock turbo and microtech made 340whp. He's still running top mount at the moment.

I believe yes but you need to add fuel pump and injectors to that list.

have you ever driven a 220-230rwhp Rx-7 before? You realize how much trouble you can get in? My car made about 250 on stock turbo, and it was really fun to drive. Very torquey down low--it was kind of like a v8 with some lag, the power fell off up top as the boost dropped off from the small stock turbo. It's like a 350Z/G35 in the sense that 1st and 2nd are really strong, but on the highway it's a bit sluggish (relatively speaking). My car made just enough power to make the car fast in all gears (despite the boost dropping off noticeably on highway pulls) really and still responsive in 5th gear, without any wheelspin issues. When you get a big enough turbo your car drives like a nonturbo car again unless you load the engine enough to spool, especially in 5th which is completely dead.

When I turned up the boost to 21 psi (that was after I did the 386 rwhp dyno in my sig) on race gas with a bigger turbo, the car wouldn't hook until 3rd. As soon as it got into boost in 1st it would spin. It's like running in place. The car is so damn fast you can't even enjoy it on the street that much. You aren't even tempted to street race because the only thing that's worth running is a 911 turbo or a Z06, and any race with those is going to get really illegal really fast. I could run drag radials everywhere but that kills handling, and I can't afford a widebody conversion or something to run 295's in the back so it can hook.

Sometimes I think I had more fun when the car was on stock turbo. I'm not saying I would go back to that, it's just that there are tradeoffs to more power. Once you get over 300whp EVERYTHING needs to be replaced, especially if you decide to replace the turbo manifold instead of doing a hybrid. I really think 300ish whp is the practical limit before you need a full fuel system, you can't get any traction, you get ignition breakup, you need $Texas for engine management and tuning, the list goes on.

Your best bet is like a BNR stage 3 with an Rtek 2.1 . Don't go over 300-320rwhp if you still want money in your pocket and a car that has useable power.

To answer your question, i've driven a 700hp rx7 many times. this is not my first time handling or owning a high hp rx7. oh and i have the money to support my rx7 obsession. lol. So no worries on money.

I went to rotor fest last sunday here in Kissemme FL...i wish they gave out dyno sheets, but being strictly competition, they didn't. They didn't even let me put their wide band on. WTF! (so glad I wide banded my car before dyno day)

any how, i made 221whp with a complete stock block, stock turbo and stock top mount inter-heater. I have a 3 inch exhaust, Tial 38mm (kinda gangster), 720cc injectors, and a Neo...but thats my way of bein safe and not blowing the hell up.

Im also boosting 13psi bar (doesnt hold to redline) and i had a bag of ice on my intecooler. (207whp after heat soak)

Im pretty sure youll make more than 221 just the way you are.
