how much for paint?
How much will it cost me to get my car painted? i would like it to look as good as possible with alot of clear. if i were to buy the paint. how much could i get someone to paint my car for?

heres my recent posts. lost of pic.. it cost me about 450 for the paint.. i didnt 100% of the work..
if you had some one do it for ya.. im guessin itll cost ya. about a G or so.. depending what kind of paint you want.. but seriously.. for paint color- sky is the limit what type, kind, and how mny coats..
cheap paint=maaco look alike
expensive paiint=show look. non of that ricer paint.. zero gloss ****..

DP-40 Epoxy Primer: 120
2K Primer Surfacer:120
2 Qts Base Coat: 60-150
1 Gallon Reducer:45
2 gallons clearcoat: 180
Misc Supplies:100
Total:925 MINIMUM
This is assuming no major bodywork required.
Strip Trim: 3 hours
mask: 2 hours
prime: 3 hours
Bodywork: ?? Cant tell without seeing car 2-24 hours
Primer-Surfacer:3 hours
Block sand: 8-12 hours
Retape/mask: 2 hours
Basecoat:2 hours
Clearcoat:3 hours
Unmask: 1 hour
Rehang Trim: 4 hours
Colorsand Buff: 8-12 hours

I'd like to strip my car and get it cleaned up and have somone local paint it, but I can't get any good responses to who does good work around here. I've seen a few local guys post that they've gotten stuff painted near me, but I still haven't gotten any good estimates. The only ones I've gotten were Maaco (~$700) and a local guy ($2000-20,000). Hopefully I can find someone that can do better quality than maaco for around the same price.
