fc's are cheap there, but not worth importing it here, u can convert a USDM fc to right hand drive for cheaper than it would be to import and legalize. if your not planning to legalize, sure go for it. plus the US usually will not legalize cars that are the same make and model u can find here

Yeah, just like with importing a skyline. MotorEx does all the legaling and such, and if you bring in your own skyline, get pulled over, cops knows what the car is... WHOOPS, it's illegal. I'd just do the right hand conversion. Shifting with your left hand would be weird though..

you can do the super sketchy way. Buy a shell Rx-7... import a Rx-7 from japan.. switch vins... put shell rx-7 behind house drive rhd rx-7.. get busted one day ... they take your car away.. crush it... fine you to the point where you can only afford a tricycle and work at mcd's!

seriously, if you had a imported car, and you had the same car that was bought in the states and they where the same color and crap and u just switch the plates, do you think the cop is going to check your vins and stuff right there? its going to read in his computer "red RX-7" or somthing, how is he going to tell? (other then RHD)

beh! i would risk it.
it would be funny when the cop comes up to the left side of the car when you are on the right.
what would he notice that isent DOT compliant?

Bullshit, in most states that don't have inspection like Florida you can get any car titled. You can title a jap import as a junk yard wrecked fc and pay for a lost title and their is nothing any law inforcement can do. Once it is titled is good in 50 states.

Try passing someone on a one-lane (each way) road. You'll have a hard time seeing around them.
Aside from some sort of novelty factor, its still just a TII.

if you converted it, you would just be switching some interior parts around as well as a couple steering/heating/eletrical related stuff. a car made for JDM supposedly has different crash/safety standards for the bumpers and side impact stuff(whether they are more or less safe it doesn't matter, just different). and that is why you would have to get it inspected/legalized by state patrol
