how much can i get a used fcon for?
anyone know of general prices or have one that they may be selling in the next few months....
im looking or the TURBO F-CON PFC III
for an 88TII....
after i get my **** running, the next thing i will be doing is upping my fuel......walboro, 720cc secondaries, and something to control it....
i heard of used fcons for cheap......anyone seen one for cheap or have one that they do not want anymore??
just curious....i wont need it RIGHT now, but by the middle or end of september the fuel is getting upgraded...and i need something to control it....
unless you know of something better?

Yes, the F-CON's are chipped for certain fuel injector sizes.  Throwing in bigger fuel injectors will not guarantee you it'll work well.  In fact, throwing 720's in the secondaries will most likely cause a bog at 4kRPM - when it hits the fuel injector crossover.
You could, technically, contact HKS (USA) for a new chip...
This is why the A'PEXi S-AFC line of fuel computers are so popular.  They can at least adjust for different fuel injectors by changing a few parameters in the computer...by yourself.

ok so.....
say i keep my stock injectors....and get an F-CON....
is that gonna be a worthy fuel mod?
does it compensate? or will i still run lean? I assumed in order to keep it from running lean you would need bigger injectors (more cc's flow), but if the F-CON will supply enough fuel with stock injectors, then that is the poo but i doubt that is the case....
im really only worried about my fuel so i dont NEED the F-CON per-say, but i figured if i could get it for cheap, it would be cool, since it monitors other stuff as well....
reTed mentioned the A'PEXi S-AFC, which would probally work well for me, but the way people have been mounting them kinda makes me nervous....i dont want it all out in the open (dont want too much attention for thieves) , or up on my dash....i think it looks kinda tacky....so if anyone has a pros/cons list for the S-AFC, and or mounting pics so i can get some ideas of what i should get....that would be great...
im trying to avoid running lean at all costs, which is why im gonna run a manual boost controller for the time being....(to keep the boost levels to around 9 or 10psi)
my engine should be back together REAL soon
series 4 keg,
intake,
FCD,
jspec s5 turbo/maifold,
jspec s5 upper and lower intake...
no emissions....
and possibly a downpipe....
theres more i think....
im gonna have a boost controller so i dont have to upgrade the fuel just yet, but that will be my next mod....cause i plan on getting the RB full exhaust, among other things....

a boost controller can not lower boost past the point the car is already boosting without the mbc/ebc attached. The only thing a boost controller does is delay the opening of the wastegate.
You can get a walbro for 89 bucks at groupbuy, and it's an easy 15 min install. With the walbro you can run 10 pounds all day long and you'll still be slightly rich.
You can run bigger injectors with the fconn, but you'll need the GCC which you can usually find pretty easy on ebay.
I opted for the safc and wired it into my pressure sensor as opposed to the TPS. It's not as flexible as 3d fuel mapping, but it simply made more sense to me.
As for the original topic, there are usually fcon's for sale in the for sale section once a week, look around and you could pick one up with fcd for 275-300.
