88 T2 with catch can connected to the oil filler and the middle iron breather, no PCV valve:

I've got about 4000 miles since the rebuild and I'd say I've had no more than 1-2 tablespoons worth. This is running 16-17psi on a T04R turbo. It hasn't had any track use but it has seen some spirited driving. The can is vented at the top and has a little drain at the bottom for me to open. I've checked it twice and only a small trickle of oil has come out.

depends if you have the can above or below the nipples that you have it connected to, if it's higher then it won't collect nearly as much oil.

I have no bung or anything to connect to on the iron itself where the filler neck inserts. I do have the bung though up top by the cap. I was going to make one with some spare hose, little breather, and a 4Loko can

I don't believe mine has collected any oil, and it has a breather on top of it. It hasn't collected enough for any to drain yet, and I installed it months ago.

Yeah I wouldn't sweat that. What you don't want to do is run the lower driver's side block nipple to a can, then you'll lose whole quarts of oil driving hard.
