Get a hold of a Shop manual or the Haynes manual and get counting. It's under emissions control. Even gives you a nice picture.

there are about 100.

yep, go count them in the shop manual

And your bump has been deleted. Bumps are forbidden here in the 2nd gen RX-7 technical section

NEVER. EVER. POST. AGAIN.

You need a variety of vacuum lines for your car to run properly. You MUST KEEP the fuel injector bleed vacuum line, the FPR vacuum line, among others. You need to DIE. :\

For an FSM: www.cochran-racing.com...go to the FSM, S4, then S4 NA emissions and fuel control.

If you need lines we have the hose techniques silicone kit in stock for the FC. We're going to be initiating a clearance sale really soon here. WE're getting ready to relocate.

They need to be cut to length, but all the proper diameters are there and plenty of length for leftovers. Shoot me a PM. Just take it one by one. There are definitely a handful.

What three? The manditory ones are, (from memory):

Oil injectors = 4 (Removed when you premix)
FPR = 1
MAP = 1
Fuel injector bleeds = ~3
Master Brake Cylender = 1
Crankcase Ventilation = 1 (Lots of people remove this. DON'T (unless you have a draw through system))

AUX PORTS = 2 (Some people remove or don't have these)
VDI = 1 (Some people remove or don't have these)

Wastegate = 1 (Some people don't have these)
BOV = 1 (Some people don't have these)

Lots of people tell me their cars "Run fine." Being a relitive term, it doesnt mean much. :-p

You quoted me improperly. Why?

He said you need brakes and oil injectors. So, you have just those? And unless you disabled 2 of the oil injectors, then you have at least 5, with those listed.

So, you don't have a vacuum line go to the fuel injector bleed? Or the FPR?

Moral of the story: Your car is going to blow up, OR you quoted me for no reason.

IIRC (referring to the ones on my engine), I have the FPR, MAP sensor, and Primary Fuel Injector Air Bleed.

But, I could be wrong.

Also, I don't think you need the primary fuel injector air bleed line. It just improves fuel atomization, thus, making my car run more efficiently.

I remember someone once telling me you didn't need a number of the vacuum lines in there. I've always wondered if it were true and what ones were safe to remove and just block off......hrm.

Well, a stock US spec FD has something like 72 vacuum lines. So be happy.

IIRC.... i had my vacuum lines simplified when i got my motor rebuilt and streetported. i think they told me i only had 3 lines left. couldnt tell you which ones they are. i just believed them. didnt want to get into vacuum lines too much. i guess i could ask my shop and they would tell me... they do this all the time. replaced them with silicon lines and all.

I've been trying to figure out what I need for months now and keep reading different things. Seems no one can agree on here ever though. Wish someone would lay it out for everyone correctly. After reading the article in the archives I only saw one line that I actually needed. I'm still ******* confused. I'm about to just leave the damn vac rack in and say **** it

I'll stand behind that list I posted.

But it really depends on what you've done to your car.

I didn't think s4's had vac lines for the oil injectors. I thought it was just simply a mecahnical pump that pushed oil through them based on your rpms.
Edit:Oh yeah, the spider, duh. I believe most people count the oil injector ones as 1 vac line, since theres one that goes to the spider.
