How many RPM is 84 mph?

If someone could help me with this, that would be really great. I got a ticket for doing 10 over in a 55, but the cop said I was doing 84, and I can't believe that.

I've got a base 87 NA with the 4 lug "phone dial" wheels, with the stock tire size (185/70HR14). This is in 5th gear, as well.

I have a feeling the equation will be something like cirumferece*gear ratio*RPM, and it would be in ft/min, but I could be totally wrong...

Any help would be great!! Thanks fellas!

Holy crap people, do my cars come with insane gearing or something? My 86 NA also pulls 80 at 3000ish RPM in 5th. Both the 86 and 87 are GXL's... if that has anything to do with it.

I though <=10MPH was instantly tossed out by the judge.

Is your car "pull me over red" or "flashy graphics/open headers cuff me for racing" ??

Okay, I did some looking, and some working on this site's code, and 84 mph is 3400 RPM. Using the gear ratios and information provided from the scan of the brochure, I figured it out. That calculator is kinda helpful.

I also discovered that my speedometer is dead on at that speed/RPM.
