How many mm do you have before your front tire rub the spring?
Hey guys, how many mm do I have before my front tire rub against the spring? I have Eibach with KYB shocks. I assume about 5mm because people are able to fit 215, but not 225. Can someone correct me on this?
I have seen 225/50's on the stock t2 rims they had a very very small amount of space with stock struts and springs, like thinner than a floppy disk. I had 215/50's on my t2 rims I had enough space to wedge part of a finger in there.

It doesnt matter what size it is. The space between the spring and the tire is depended on teh wheel width. but its 16 inch

If you're running stock 16x7 40mm offset wheel, 225/50 is a very tight fit. I've seen it vary between different cars and different tires (some have thicker sidewalls than others).
It should fit. If it doesn't, the rubbing in the spring will be extremely minimal. Another potential rubbing concern is the front inside of the wheel well. Very hard cornering at close to lock can rub a 225.

More clearance due to 6" rims. They will give you just about 1/2" more clearance than the 7" wheels. If you have 16x7 wheels, as stated above, only some brands of 225 x 50 will fit.

i got a 89 tII and i got the kumho 225/50's ont he stock rims wiht room to spare. i think that a 235 would probably fit with minor to no rubbing of the spring. but i am unsure about the wheel well rubbingat full lock
