Question How many 2+2 Turbo II's around?

I have an '87 Turbo II with back seats in it, thus making it a Turbo II+II As far as I can tell from what I can find on the internet about RX-7 production data, the 2+2 seating option was never offered on the Turbo models. Has anyone else ever heard of a Turbo 2+2? If not that makes it either a special order from the factory (doubtful) or someone swapped in a set of rear seats into a TII or a Turbo engine into a 2+2 chassis. Any ideas on this?

It's a rarer dealer option. The dealers offered several unique features like 2+2, 2 tone paint, Areo B kit (vs A kit) which is still available, etc..

In the UK, and I believe also in Europe, all FCs came as 2+2, something to do with insurance being cheaper for a 4 seater c/w a 2 seat sports car

Hey mine is a 2+2 and I didn't think it was anything special until NOW. I thought most of them came like that, but I guess not. Mine was bought brand new here in Canada locally too in Burnaby. All I do mostly is use the back seats for carrying tools and extra supplies and the occasional small girl passengers.

Cool...I guess I have a pretty rare RX-7. Maybe us guys with Turbo "II+II"s could start our own club! Seriously, thanks for the enlightnment guys! If anyone knows the actual production data as to how many were actually sold in the US with the 2+2 option that would be awesome!
