how to make your own ss oil feed and water feed lines for our tII's.

What is the easiest way to make new ss braided oil feed and water feed lines going to the turbo? I want to get rid of the banjo bolt on the top of the motor for the oil feed line and just stick a fitting in there and have a ss line going to the oil inlet of the turbo and just screw right in there as well as the same with the water feed. What do you guys suggest? I've never done anything with an fittings and franckly there is no place intown that has an fittings etc here so is there anything else I could use?? THanks.

I've seen some hardcore SS braided water pump setups. Some of the 13b's that I've seen actually have a custom bracket made to replace the water pump/housing that bolts onto the block. From there its hooked up to an electric pump and then hooks up to the radiator.
This is all done with the screw fitting SS lines, or whatever you call them.
What I never got, was how in the hell they fit that onto the rad! The hole size on the rad is way to big for a screw on type fitting, and somehow they downsized it...

My dad works in an area that has a company that makes these lines for the type of machinary that my dad deals with. He said that they could easily make lines for my car, so im gonna check that out later.
Point being, find a place that does SS lines and ask them, they'll know whats best.

thanks for the info but I'm really looking just for the lines going to the turbo. You know, the lines that get bent and stuff due to removing the turbo in my case 5 or 6 times, I can't remember now. Anyways I just need new feed lines to the turbo so if you have any info on that it would be great! And what shop would "do SS lines" Sorry I live in a small town that doesn't specialize in anything but oil refinery

First, there is nothing wrong with the stock oil lines.
The oil supply line needs to be restrictive - the stock banjo bolt does not hinder performance.

Second, unless you're running ungodly -14 or larger AN stuff, it's going to be more restrictive (oil drain) then the stock stuff.

There is no real need to replace them if they are not leaking.

well thats just it ted like I said in my original post is that I've bent the oil and water lines enough to where they are not leaking but probably damn close to it you know. I believe I've taken the turbo off about 6 times in the past year so those lines are getting worse and worse. THis isn't to make it any better than before just a better alternative then the stock setup you know. Just incase I have to remove the turbo again I can bend these lines and nothing will happen. Oh yeah I don't need an oil drain line as that thing doesn't bend for crap and there has been little to know damage to that line.

Pegasus racing has everything you need to make the lines. You'll just need to fabricate/weld/tap&die the lower front fitting to the engine. Make sure you have a shopping list prepared with all the proper AN fittings and adapters to our Metric's.

The return line is easy. TO stay at stock diameters you need 10an at a minimum.

I have some where a list of my Oil feed line. I only replaced that one section which connects at the UIM to the turbo. I used 4 AN hose at a preset length of like 1 foot(which is almost too much).

I had problems with major oil burning. It turns out that there is an oil restrictor built into our stock hitachi turbo cartridges. My turbo rebuilder was forced to remove it to clean certain areas.

The high oil pressure started to blow oil through the hotside and was getting ready to go through the front carbon seal.

I used a small AN adapter fitting to help restrict flow. Something like a 5/16th or something but I'm not sure right now.

Just do what I did.
Take the pieces off and bring them to an Ace Hardware. There the guys can usually help you with the measurements needed. Hell. You could buy the adapter pieces from them just make sure it isn't NPT(national Pipe Thread). You need AN.

A turbo company can usually help you w/ getting the adapter to the turbo.
