How hard is it to replace water pump

How hard is it to replace the water pump on a 90 NA? Should I just get the pump or get the housing too?

its easier than just about every other car out there...

basically you pull the battery, fan+cowl and move airbox out of the way. then you remove the belts and hoses pull the altenator and air pump and pulleys, then remove pump and housing... replacing the housing to block gasket is pain ( trying to scrape the surface but keep things out of the engine is a bitch). reassemble in opissite order.

not to bad at all and follow service manual and you;ll be fine

Very easy to do, the hard part is takig off the old gastket (just like Nimisys said), however I don't remember removing the alternator and air pump, but you do have too remove the escentric shaft pulley

It takes an hour if you have done it before!
