The 2nd gen doors & parts are interchangable.
The vert doors are different.

How hard? - good question...........how experienced are you?

Its really not that big of a deal...the largest problem an inexperienced person will face is the actual mounting of the door itself...fitting the door and getting square gaps and proper latch fitment

changing your window regulator, latch, lock, rods, widnow track, all of that **** is fairly easy

experience? this is my first time doing it... but i've been dealing with like changing panels and stuff since 17 (was a Jet Engine Mechanic in the Navy. Worked with F-18's and SH-60 Helicopters...)

all i wanna know is how hard is it... or is there like a write up for it or something...

maybe take an hour if you haven't done a complete hardware swap on a door before.

Just take your time on the alignment part. That will be the most time consuming, you'll probably want a friend to help hold it while you slide it around a bit. It's the difference between a door that you always have to slam vs. one that opens and closes nice and smooth.

guys, it took me 5 hours to do both doors... well, we're talking about stripping both old doors, latches, the long metal pieces, the harness and everything else... the painful part is taking the freaking pins off! and putting the door back together is no joke (i did it all by myself actually).

anyways, i had the passenger side done no problem in 2 hours... i finish the driver side and i bolted it back on the car... the freaking door wont open from the outside! WTF!

oh well, i'll just redo it again tomorrow... i'm sure i'm gonna have fun!

Check the rods for the handle to the latch. They seem to pop off the clips alot and you really need to have the adjusted correctly for the handle to work. Should be a quick fix.

Also, your handle my have broken. Its as common problem with these cars.
