Arrow how to fix throttle cable?

The throttle cable to my t2 is very loose, how do i get it tight and right?

One more thing. My car doesnt idle, at all it would turn on, stay on if i keep my foot on the peddle tho then it would turn off when i let my foot off the peddle. Would it have to do with my na fuel pump or is it cause of the timing or could it be anything other then those two things.

Were you playing with the screw at all on top of the engine block because that can be used to adjust idle speed. And if you think that its something to do with your fuel pump or gunk from your gas tank blocking the fuel filter, you can disconnect the fuel line from the engine block and just let the engine turn over so you can see how much gas is leaving the tube. It should be a good amount coming out and it helps to have someone help you with that. I hope that helps some

yeah, check the idle adjustment screw (on the top of the back side on the throttle body). If it's been unscrewed enough it could drop your idle down too low to actually keep it running. That's my bet.

To tighten your throttle cable locate the bracket the cable hooks into on the back of the UIM. There are two nuts that are used to seat the cable into the bracket. Try adjusting them. (Screwing the first one clockwise will pull the cable back tightening it up, if that makes any sense.)

the idle on that car is not a fuel related issue. I told you a few times. It is only a problem when you hit boost on that NA pump so the mixture doesn't lean out and you get premature detonation and kick some apex seals out of the exhaust.

You also need to post specific info on your car so people will know what you are talking about. It helps to know if it was swapped and what series it is to understand a history of it.

We just swapped this motor into this s4 NA. Motor is s4 t2, jspec. Starts and runs like a champ, but again dies when you let off the gas and if you stab the gas it sputters out.

My buddy told me to check the timing when we couldn't figure why it wouldn't crank ( I dont know what that would have to do with cranking but he builds these cars so i listened tho it made no sense). I took the CAS off and put it back in. Probably need to get the time timing right with a timing light.

As for the cable KussImmak messed with it yesterday and the pedal (not peddle) was loose as hell still yet.

when you catch the engine and stop it from stalling, does it run regularly?
if it does, then I'd suspect the idle adjustment stuff. Fast idle, regular idle stop, etc on the throttle body.

Get the correct fuel pump, the N/A one won't keep up with your car's needs, however it's out of it's capacity at idle.

as far as the T2 Throttle cable, I can't help ya there, on my swap I modified my throttle body to use the N/A cable.

disregard, you've already got it.

no it would turn off and when i keep my foot on the gas or like on and off it stutters like it doesn't wanna stay on. When i let off the gas car stays on for a couple of seconds and then turns off.

Throttle cable is done as said but still very loose. Is there any way i can do it from the pedal.

Alright now it would stay on after i keep my foot on the gas for alil, but it would i idle up and down threw 1000 and 1500 rpm.

The car even stutters it wont go over a certain rpms.

What would cause that?

while at idle in neutral it will rev but rough. When driving it under load it wont rev past 2k and feels like it is choking out. However there are times when under load out of nowhere for about half a second it is very smooth and runs right. It does this intermittently.
