Untuned with low compression I ran a 13.@102. My MPH was good for a low 13 though with a good launch. That was with the stock catback as well.

Now I have a fresh rebuild with a large streetport, going to get full 3" exhaust and tuned on a dyno and am looking for mid 12s hopefully.

Hmm I'm guiessing I'll do high 13's/low 14's.

It'll be a 88 GTU with a rebuilt S5 engine w/ Racing beat DP and PS to Corksport Single.
Walbro and a TID.

I am hoping my car won't weigh too much either since it weighed like 2700lbs before the swap.

full intake and 3'' exhuast on a s5 t2 at 11 pounds on the stock ecu/IC should put you somewhere between 220 and 235 rwhp. That's easy 13's if you can drive I'd guess trap speeds aroudn 102-103.

I've never been to a sanctioned track, that will change this Friday (going to Cali. Speedway). I've stomped a local gutted CRX with timeslips for a 12.6. If I run better than 12.8 this Friday I'll be happy. Its not my goal overall for the car but my goal for 12 psi and almost maxxed injectors. When my 1200s arrive, it'll be time for more boost.

The car's an '87 TII, fresh stock S4 block, Haltech E6K, Turbonetics 60-1 .96 A/R @ 12 psi. RPS 6-puck sprung clutch. Running 245s in the back so wheelspin is manageable.

Well with your turbo and haltech, you have alot of room for improvement. That is if you have a good fmic and enough fuel.

The planned fuel setup is 720cc primaries, and 1200cc secondaries...the 1200s were ordered last Friday from RC Engineering...since they're custom, I won't get em for another week or so. I've got a Supra fuel pump in there so fuel won't be an issue. My intercooler will be upgraded as well.

My goal is around 400 rwhp. I don't really want to go above that. Seems like a realistic goal.

Yes, 400rwhp is pretty much the spot to shoot for with a 60-1. That can be had on pump gas at 15psi. Just get the fmic and fuel.

theres a guy here in dallas i met up with monday night(along with the other dallas dudes) with a turbonetics 60-1 turbo, i forget how much boost he was pushing, but he was running 1680cc secondaries with that huge greddy FMIC and a street port, with restrictive exhaust, 465 rwhp i believe is the number he said he dyno'd at... i think he was pushing 15 or so psi, but i can't remember exact numbers lol but they are close if not exact

gsracer, you think 235 whp @11 psi? sounds decent to me... my goal for the stock turbo and stuff is 250 whp, but i dont think thats possible.

I didn't jump on anything, just asked for your mods list .. but for the record i still don't think you will pull 10's. If you can get that thing to even fit, what is that a diesel truck turbo?

Well, I've never had it to the track, and only really raced it a few times, but just gotta love these cars. New cars pull up along side and they see a 15 year old car ('89TII) and they think no worries.
I'm not going to keep up with the "big boys" on the forum, but my latest conquest was a 350Z, not much problem, and then in December a NSX.
New Mazda Reman. engine, and minor mods, Bonez DP and Hi Flow cat, FD pump, and still the original factory cat back. The biggest increase was with the installation of the G Force upgraded ecu. It worked wonders. Boost to 10/11 and great response. Maybe someday it'll be to the track.

sounds about right. Look in old threads and you'll see about that.

With a FMIC, 4 x 720 safc, and .8-.9 bar I think you'll just reach over 250rwhp on the stock turbo. It's been done before.

What is a 1/4 mile time for a fully stock S5 TII?
What would be the 1/4 mile time with a stock S5 TII, with an CAI, and a full RB exhaust?

Any ideas? Thanks

brought this one outta the woodworks eh?

It's in the FAQ's, but low 15's...like 15.1 or so completely stock.

Exhaust is huge...get an safc with your exhaust/intake, and I was running 14.2's.
