how do you open oil pressure sending unit? HELP QUICK!

Hey guys,

I am so f-ing frustrated right now.

I am really trying to change my water temp. sending unit, but the oil pressure sending unit is in the way.

No matter how i put my tools on there, its in the way. So, i need to remove the oil sending unit, and how do you do that?

Do you just turn it like a oil filter?

Yes. Believe it's 12mm. Put a wrench on it and turn it. Righty - tighty, lefty - loosey.

hmm so you gotta pull one off to do the other. I'm planning on installing my water temp, oil pressure, and oil temp gauges once I get the oil pedestel adapter. I guess I should just install all the sending units at once.

there is not a bolt in the oil sending unit, so that one should just twist off?

I know the water temp sending unit is either a 12mm or 13mm...?

Under the "bulb" of the pressure sender is the pedastal. It's probably covered in oil and gunk but it is hex shaped. Clean it off and you can use a wrench to turn the sensor out of the block. Like I said I'm pretty sure it's 12mm but it might be 14mm.

i cant find any bolts under the sensor, and i dont quite undertand.

would you happen to have a pic?
is it right under the oil pressure sending unit itself, to the right of it, what direction?

I need a map lol!

well, the pic did it all. It was really easy with the pic showing there, thank a bounch, evidentally i need new aftermarket gauges, cuz mine seem to be f-ed up.

It eather shows all the way to the right (around 300 degress) or zero.
My oil pressure bounces from zero to full back and forth, and i'm pretty sure its the sending unit. I already ordered it though, i need some damn new gauges!
