How Do You Check For A Bad Oil Cooler?

Well? I could not get the fittings off when I pulled the engine, so I left it attached. Could the lines be damaged from being crimped? Would they leak? Does the cooler get hot when it is working correctly?

yes it gets warm to touch when the engine is running at temp.

The flexible line shouldn't have a problem, but if you crimped/pinched the metal lines you could.

Nah, it was just the flexible lines. I would assume that if I broke somethin, oil would be leaking on the ground. Thanks, Mark. Seems you have been a huge help to me lately!!!!

hhmm. Thats cool. I was wondering how to tell if the oil cooler worked or not. So it would be warm and not hot. Can you keep your hand on it with out getting burnt?
