How do i tell if a water pump is bad or not.>?

how do i tell if a water pump is bad or not? i dont think anywater is getting pused threw the radiator.. ..
or how do i tell if water is getting threw the engine.?

turn just the pump by hand, see if there is a lot of resistance on it..Also try to see if there is any play by wiggling the pump... Is you car over heating?

Is there water coming out of the weep hole in the bottom of the water pump? Are you overheating?

on niether of those.. just had a problem last night * https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/omg-what-hell-just-happend-601189/ * ( that is the thread ) and i started it this morning to do a coolant seal check. they were fine, but it didnt seeem like any water was going threw the radiator? the water was just standing there. and i squeezed the bottom hose and it did seem like anything was getting pused threw the hose.. ? or am i just a noob?

alright im just a noob lol, figured it out properly.. thermostat opens when car warms up.. lol
