how difficult can i get

Hey guys just kicking a few ideas around in the sess pool i call a brain, when i came up probaly the most difficult thing i can get myself into. Anyway i was wondering how hard it would be to put a Weber 48mm downdraft carb in place of the fuel injection.
As far as the deal with the computer and all. Am i opening Pandoras Box on this one?

only prob with the 1st gen section would be that the 1st gen 13b used a distributor instead of a crank angle sensor.... so when the 1st gen guys convert from FI to carb, they can use their stock ignition, right? We'd have to swap out to an earlier one.

You should be able to keep the CAS, ECU, and stock ignition setup. I'm not positive though, I think that's just what I read, so wait for more to answer.

Eh, I picked up a 1st gen Dizzy with coils and such for about 45 after shipping.. Not to go to Carbed, mind you. I mean, tuning EFI is so much fun with my MegaSquirt

I'm not sure why you would want to convert to carb. There's absolutely no advantage at all.

I hope this is a joke, because just slapping on a carb will not make the car go faster.

Seriously, if you are going to go through all the trouble to carburete the car, just spend the same money and stay EFI using the Megasquirt.
