How Can you Afford your FC?
My car was $500, $300 in parts later- it drives GREAT.
Im a computer hardware technician with a small buisness in network managment and new systems install.
My parents have me on their plan for darn cheap, so I repay them.
I pay for my gas and anything I do to the car.
Im looking into a TII now

Work smart not hard boys and girls. I am a property developer in Mexico. I bought my first piece of property in Cabo San lucas when I was 25 and built a 2 bedroom house on it for 55 grand when it was all said and done (All paid for by maxing every card I had at the time) When I was done, 6 mos. later, I put it on the market and lived in it for 2 mos before I sold it for 165 grand. The rest is history. I'm on my fifth house now 4 years later and the RX-7 turbo is my 4th car since then (not a loan on a single one of them) The RX was given to me from a client for down payment on a lot in mexico. I made 8 grand on the lot and got an 87 turboII for free!! The car is toasted though, It has 2 blown apex seals! what luck! The car is just the doner for a sick project I have in mind. I plan on shoe horning the power plant into an 85 gsl-se (This should keep me occupied untill I go back to mexico in sept!)I just got the car and started tearing it down yesterday. You guys will be hearing a lot from me! Many questions to come!
When I bought my 10th I wasnt making much money and financed from a dealer a bought it from, at 20% INTEREST. Then I got another loan from my bank to buy a winter car and took enough to pay off the 7, and its only 2.4% interest. But now i make enough money to spend my last few pennies each month for important stuff like upgrades. Oh yeah, I used the money i had for a bed for an intercooler, and i cancelled my cable for gas money, lol.

I sell them for more than what I buy them for. I do some mods and stop before I cant get any more for what I have into them.
Sold my 87 GXL for $6800, bought it for $1400.
Selling my 88 Conv. for $3500, bought it for $3000. Have done nothing to the 88.
Just shop smart, sell smart.
Its simple.

I am a student, I have a work study job, I have a student loan...and my last tax return!!! Yeah! Other than that...I cannot afford to not afford it...I would be forced to drive the evil 68 Mustang...Blah!
Hehe I actually know of someone who dealt drugs to get his FD that ran like 11's. I bought my '89 for pretty much nothing. I traded a broken jetta my friend gave me and a few hundred bucks for it. It was in excellent shape and have had no issues whatsoever. I bought a '87 TII for $100 and the car not only paid for itself by selling parts but I got the transmission setup for my swap and took the hood.

I won an eBay auction for the car. The rest of the stuff I called Summit and had the UPS man bring me what I needed. I just gave them my account number and paid for it. It's not expensive to build an 11 second beater if you start with a good platform
I have had my fc for 3 months! and i had to get a new fuel pump..i had to take off the pulsation dampener and replace it with a banjo..had a fuel line go out..and had electrical problems!~ other than that its a great car,,, i am Broke
