I afford mine by managing a large company. Oh and occasionally charging some parts through the company. Like the stuff I got this week. 2 new dunlops, 2 new rear calipers and a new turbo clutch. Not to mention that I had my company mechanic swap in my turbo drivetrain from my donor car. I love my job.

I have a local government job doing computer repair and stuff. I pays most the bills, but with a wife, school and car repairs, the dollars just aren't what they once were. Most likely gonna work a second job for summer to save money for my RX7.

FC was cheap.
I work at my company for 5yrs. It pays my bills, gives me money to spend on my other cars and also gives me enough to save.
I also go to school and have 3 other cars as well.

I found this pile of gold in an old file cabinet at school. They said I could keep it, so I'm pretty much set for life... plan to have the first FC to break the sound barrier.

nah just kidding.

Talking

Believe it or not I deliver Pizzas in my FC3C (and my tips actually pay for gas)... I am 19 years old and have had my black beauty now for 3 months and I think it's going to be about a year before she is perfect (a hefty speeding ticket put my plans back a few months.) As for gas its actually cheaper than my old car (1990 Cadillac HoopDeville R.I.P) which ran on Premium Only and got 15 Gallons to the Mile (tweaked to) 250HP 4.5 Liter V-8 on a car no smaller than a Grey Whale. Back to the RX-7. I found out that it's cheaper to maintain that than a Cadillac (TAKE A HINT!!!)

i just bought my car and payed $1200 for it, it has 167000 miles on it and i am getting a parts car that has a mototr with only 71000 miles on it for $500. so all in all i am paying $1700 for a perfect working car. i pay fro all of this by waiting in a Restaurant. you do a good job....you make a lot of money in tips. plus i am only 18 and still get the roof and food from my parents.
