How can i make more power out of my 13b n/a

I have a 13b n/a rebuilt @ 70g with 2 piece apex seals, high flow oil jets, solid corner seals, removed defussers, with high flow cone air filter. I want to know how i can make more power out of the engine without hurting the life of the motor. I am also running premix since i took off the OMP. I currently have the 5/6 pots wired open since i stripped the motor of everything besides the water pump and alt. I know i am losing like 15 lbs torque on the low end. I also have a race beat header hooked up to a 115mm apexi muffler system so 3 inches of unrestricted exhaust. Also rerouted the intake heating system from the water pump directly to the rear of the engine. I am currently doing the throttle body mod removing the first butterflies and porting it out.

Any ideas anyone?

Anytime you make more HP, longevity suffers. Also, you might want to search this one, its been covered a million times.

Understood that the longevity of the engine will suffer with more mods. I cant really find anything else to do after the throttle body mod and msd assistance. I have already went with 8 mm on both trailing and leading coils with fresh plugs.

yeah i read on the electric 5/6 port mod thats next once i got some money. I am about to switch to synthetic 2 stroke oil for the gas like Amzoil. I am not sure if i want to go to synthetic in the actual engine. I have a good habit of changing the oil every 1000 miles right now since the engine is fresh. MSD is also down the road from what i heard from my friends denso coils on the 2nd gen are awesome and are used by people with 3rd gens sometimes.

Only thing left is a nitrous wet shot, start at 50hp then a little more until you're happy. Unfortuantely once you get used to it, you'll go a little more until boom.

If you want to drive your car withhout rebuilding the motor every month or so, don't use nitrous. I work at ISC (SCCA RX7 and Miata shop) and we just rebuilt a 12A motor because they took it out on a 1/4 mile strip and gave it 60 shot. Never made it past the finish line. And that's on a SCCA RACE CAR engine. So, if you're smart, you will realize that not everyone on this site knows everything they think they do. No offense to those who actually DO know what they're talking about. Look at nitrous as ectasy for a car. It's alot of fun, but it can kill you the first time you do it.

How do you figure that nitrous is any different than a turbo or supercharger? It operates by adding more oxygen in order to burn more fuel. So how is this any different than a turbo or supercharger?

Was the fuel system up to spec? Was it a dry shot relying on an increase in fuel pressure, or a wet shot with dedicated fueling? Did he run it off the line under 3000rpms? What kind of condition was the engine in?

So what about it being a race engine. All that means is that it spent its whole life getting the **** beat out of it.

Sure it can kill you the first time you use it. SO can a turbo. DOnt be a ******* idiot and it wont kill you. DOnt put it on a tired engine. Dont boost a tired engine. I fyou are going to mess with anything that significantly increases the output of an engine you had better be ready to rebuild the engine if it pops. Period. But to say that nitrous is going to result in you rebuildign the engine every week (which i know is a serious exaggeration on your behalf) or even every year is misleading to say the least.

if you install the nos correctly and tune it correctly you will be fine. what you need to know is that you have to retard your timing so that the engine doesnt go lean while using nos. when the engine goes lean (not enough fuel) it causes detonation which is very bad for any vehicle espesially for a rotary thats why they are tuned rich from the factory. so a 50 shot is fine if tuned / installed properly. so spend the money to have it done right .
