Exclamation hot start issues with rtek 1.8 vs stock ecu

some of you may know about my leaning out problem with my rtek and my set up . my car never had hard starting problems with bad after i installed the 720cc injectors and the rtek . . now after driving it for 15-20 mins . let it sit for 10 mins or so after its warmed up it just cranks cranks crank feels like it catches cranks ...smell alot of fuel . and on 6psi the car leans out towards 6k-7k afrs are in the 16-17 now at redline WOT . starts at 10-11 down low then 12-13 half way through the rpms. my car is stock port with ra super seals bnr stg 4 . full exhuast etc . fuel pump is rewired . walbro 255 is in there. now today for ***** n giggles i pluged in my stock ecu with the bigger injectors . holding the pedal to the floor it actually started while warm . obv it didnt stay runnig but still started up faster then my rtek in everyway possble . injectors are tlf perfomance 740cc high impedence my resitor box is removed. and fuel pump is on a switch also

IT DOES start right up if i push start it .
so far i tried the 3b wire trick . nothing
check my voltage and ohms on my temp sensor . good
readjusted my tps at 1v clost and 1000ohms close 4.7v when WOT .

i havnt checked my compression but it wouldnt make sense if it started up quicker holding down the gas on the stock computer . motor has almost 2k now since i rebuilt it no smoke or overheating . nothing crazy . only thing i can think of is a leaky injecter

the car is getting more then enough fuel lol once again . i switched the injectors back around . looks like one of them is bad . it was sputtering before secondarys . so thats comfirmed a bad injecter . now for the hotstart i put back my stock injecters and ecu . starts fine now after warmed up just gonna turn off fuel pump for 1 sec then flick it back on and it starts runs drives fine . so the ecu did it . time for stand alone. lol

My Rtek equipped '88 starts perfect everytime, once I backed the starting fuel down real, real low. I've still got my bypass switch hooked up and I had to use it a few times until I got it adjusted. I've got 720's too. Is that 1.8's starting fuel adjustable?

no its not adjustable the rtek wont let the car turn on when WOT . only when ur off the gas pedal cause it has its own built in deflooder . only works when ur off the gas pedal so i had to pump it and mess with fuel pump switch with the rtek now the stock ecu all i do is hold the pedal down after its warm it starts right up...now if the compresion was really that low . I HOPE NOT i put too much $$$ into it already really dont want to take it back out to put new housings . for the fact that it dont smoke and it idles good. i know it dont mean that it can still have low compression will get numbers tommarw

My last engine was low compression, barely on the ragged edge of ok, and it was hard to start hot its whole life. It's why I have the bypass switch.

well i did a compression test today . every side of the rotor is even bumps . 65 in front 60 in rear. i know its low . used housings with ra 2mm super seals . makes no sense how healty the motor runs tho . clean idle make power all the way threw redline . but im guessing theres my hot starty problem

Does seem a bit low id think it would be higher if it idles fine, how many miles have you put on it so far?

Maybe the reading was incorrect, was it done while cold or hot?

If the compression is low i guess it'd explain why you aren't getting as much power as you should potentially out of your setup.

Hope your compression goes up, but either way if it runs and its drivable, you're not doing too bad in my opinion.

Put it under load electrically and it will start when hot. Turn the headlights on, defrost, blower etc. it worked for me with my 1.8 on an S5 TII ECU.

you fucked your motor with that turbo and that fully inadequate fuel/ecu setup.
