Hoses in the intake

Does anyone know what the two hose that are attached to the black plastic part of the intake right before the plastic elbow are for. I made a custom intake for my car and right now I don't have those two hoses connected. I was wondering if is allright to have those two hoses not connected or if I should put them back some how.

One goes to the Bac valve and if you leave it unconnected your car wont idle and will just die. The other one goes to, well the hell if I know what it goes to but it should be connected too. You can just put a breather on both of them though.

My car is running fine with out both of them connected. When I first start my car the rpms go to around 1500 then they drop to almost nothing but if I tap the gas the rpms go to around 1000 and it runs normal after that. But your saying I could just put breather on them and not attach them in the intake.

Yes thats exactly what I am saying. For some reason my car wont idle without the hose attached to the intake from the BAC. Oh well, add that to the list of stupid things my car does
