Hose going to intake tube??

Ok guys,How important is this line--can it be disconnected--reason I am asking is ,I installed a new intake--with no connection for this hose and now when the car hits 4000 rpm it falls on its face, then come back then falls again--drives fine under a light load.--here is a pic of the line I am talking about.

It supplies air to the BAC valve, so if you leave it open the BAC valve will be sucking in unfiltered, unmetered air. Basically you'll have a big vac leak.

That won't cause the problems you describe though, neither would fitting a new intake. That sounds like a secondary injector probelm. Check they're both plugged in properly.
