Hooking up a battery to a shell?
I have a semi-stripped FC3S shell that I recently have been attempting to restore. One of the previous owners had somewhat installed a Viper alarm system and left a ton of wires near the ignition all hacked up. I believe I repaired it all yesterday and compared it to the wiring on one of my shells with untouched wiring. While the interior is still completely bare (no dash/carpet/seats) I wanted to test the interior electronics.
Since every rx7 I've seen in person so far has had no engine lol, from what I understand the battery terminals are part of the engine harness? If so, is there a way to hookup a battery and test my repair job without an engine in the car?
Thanks

The battery is connected to the "Engine" harness which runs along the driver's side fender / frame rail. Most cars I've seen in junkyards still have that harness in place, but not always. The harness most people thing of as the engine harness is actually called the "Emissions" harness and comes from the passenger side.
To answer your question, if there are no terminals you will need to find another wire to tie in to. There is a wire that goes from the main fuse box in the engine bay to the interior of the car along with the bundle of wires behind the trailing coils (drivers side, behind shock tower). You will need to trace that wire to where it goes to the interior fuse panel in order to power up the interior electronics.
