Hoods?

Does anybody here know of any good hoods that does not cost thousands of dollars like the RE cost my friend almost $3000.00 (can) after everything was said and done.
And not OEM style? The T2 aluminum hood is good enough for OEM look to me.

I am not looking for OEM styling or anything that is rivited on. The C-Wing's looks ok but the 2 piece carbon fiber hood that has rivits in it dose not work for me and it also looks like the one that knightsports hood.
Don't get me wrong those hood are functional and do what there made for (weight reduction and to remove heat) but I want differdent. Like a singal or double drop vent hood or a larger hood scoop.

It's riveted in cause it's reversible.
The pics show it "backwards".
If you flipped it around, it looks kinda like stock.
The scoop can be glassed in to make everything look seamless.

If you want something fancy, you either go original (EXPENSIVE) or knock-off (poor quality).
You ain't gonna get some like that for under $700 unless the guys who are making them are your friends.

if your goin for origional, take your stock n/a hood.....find a generic hoodscoop, slap her in the middle.....find some air vent inserts, slap on in on each side of the scoop......then paint

What no one on this forum has any clue where I can find a hood that looks like the above pics?
No i don't want OEM look I already have an aluminun TII hood.
Why pay for some thing that looks like what I have already.
Is in't that the point of custom (to change)

im surprised no one mentioned me. I make these hoods for $500 now but I have a few orders on backorder already. You would have to get in line though. These are from FG.

The problem is that most of those hoods are made in Japan.
You're already said you're not willing to pay for the high price, so why bother mentioning it?
I've already said that there are copies floating around, and either they are crap for quality or you need to know the makers to get a good copy.

So it still comes down to...
You're not willing to pay for the $1,000+ hood from Japan.
No one knows of a good copy being made in the U.S.
Thus, you get very little replies.

i have some ghetto pics of it on my car, not mounted or anything, I just stuck it on the car to get an idea of what it would look like. I am however seriously thinking of going with a single vent hood because it is much simpler to costruct and people keep bugging the heck out of me for it. If I have someone pay up front I might do it, but I am very busy lately and have to even turn customers away. but that will change hopefully soon. Lemme dig for some pics.

I'm having issues finding a TII hood for my conversion. None are available locally, and the ones I find are too $$$ or too expensive to ship (guarenteed damage).

Anyone know a way to add a similar scoop to the NA hood that isn't crap? If I have to, Garfinkle will cut up and modify the NA spare hood I have.

Sorry to highjack, its kinda on-topic!
