hollowing cats

I picked up my 86 N/A for 250 bucks some guy had dropped it off to get new cats put in and they shop never heard fromt he guy again. . that's when i stepped in. saw it stopped, guy started it right up for me ran nice. loud as hell cause no exhaust but nice. . anyways If my cats are hollow will my 5th and 6th ports still open? I havn't got the car on the road yet still doing some tinkering so i don't know if they are opening or not. any help would be great. thanks

forgot to add, the reason i am asking this is because instead of buyig new cats i just hollowed out the ones that were there. No emissions tests here in maine. pretty nice. i do plan on taking the 5th and 6th port sleeves out eventually but for now it would be nice if they worked normal.

if only teh precats are hollow, you should be ok.
