You blew your engine. A loud pop on a car with exhaust pretty much always means you threw an apex seal. Rebuild time.

It is normal. stop worrying. get someone who can show and teach you about cars. you sound like you don't know much on internal combustion engines or this forum. Run before you get flamed and find someone who is old, you know like a shop teacher, that can teach you, my young apprentice. No a stock RX7 will not shoot flames. A fuel injected one has a hard time shooting any flame worth noting if it is tuned right. P/S if your car is tuned right and is in good mechanical condition, a redline a day (atleast) keeps the mechanic away. make sure your oil is clean and read all the FAQs and all beginer stuff on here before posting. I feel sorry for you.

My RX-7 does this to, I am not sure if it shoots flames when it does though, as I am not behind the car, however my bumper is melting around the exhaust downpipes lol...

I use an automatice to, rev her to 7k, let off the gas and POP! Turns some heads though.

Except for the fact I got pulled over by a cop who said that I was running nos and the flames were dangerous =0 Yeah, sure, I was running nos without any nos kit, nos switch, or anything like that.... Could you think of how big NOS + backfire flames on an RX-7 would be? my god.....

Don't ever listen to people this. You'll kill your car really fast.

Okay, first of all, that sentence was utterly incoherent....

secondly, are you saying nitrous will kill your car? Rotaries actually respond VERY well to nitrous...

As far as the rest of this thread... wow, I hope when my fiancee starts teaching 2nd grade, she focuses on english skills...

well yeah, I wouldnt run nos on my pos any ways....

I am not a nos kinda guy also. Rather have a high HP NA or T then a car built for nos...

As for the melting bumper, its mostly because I dont have exhaust tips on it yet...

I am poor lol...

As for the cat type stuff, I have no cats but still have the cat back system, 1 glass pack in the middle, 1 glass pack on each one out.

You missed the entire point of my post. Only an idiot would refer to nitrous as "NOS", as NOS is a brand of nitrous product made by Holley. That is like calling all "Hondas" "rice" because rice is a product that most Hondas end up as one way or another.
Anyway, no nitrous won't kill your car, but listening to an idiot who thinks an automatic RX7 is a performance car will.

he never said his automatic was a performance car and ALL Honda cars are RICE. They come that way from the factory. Each car is given the attitude at the end of the line that it is perfect in all ways. I think VTEC is a waste of valve train mass. I also think you have no ***** and I envite you to ride in someone's "non-performance" car that has a properly built automatic style racing transmission behind it. It will respond faster and shift faster/harder than your arm ever will.
