High Security Door Locks?

I have hear many times that rx7's dont have the best door locks and they are easily defeated. Is there aftermarket door/hatch locking mechanism that are hard to get in?

i was thinking the same thing, im almost done saving up to build up my car but i realized the 10 second trick. i dont want to shave my handles either and a two way only gives you 10 seconds to get to the car.

i was thinking, mold "THE" piece to the car so its not detachable? or maybe weld a metal plate to block of the mechanism? suggestion apprieciated.

How do you prevent a thief from breaking the glass?
Think about it...

You bring along clear plastic and duct tape to cover the hole. If they ask, it got knocked out with a rock or something. Its quite simple to do.

yeah if yr locks good then they break yr window anyway haha....

i would just look into an alarm that makes alot of noise and has some kind of ignition kill, and or get a hidden fuel pump kill switch or something...

Well im goint to garage store my car... i really dont trust people... sad but true. Not park my car in a sketchy place. etc. Then i will make a custom battery box, so the alarm cannot be disengaged. Isnt there a film that can be put over windows to make them super strong?? I used to work at home depot, and the window department advertised something like this.

A hidden battery isolator is also a good anti-theft mechanism.

When I got to high risk areas (for example the club I see concerts at in Houston) I just take the kill switch with me and put it in my pocket. Unless they happen to have a double sided spade connector on hand they aren't gonna start my car.

Yes, the film prevents the glass from exploding, but a knife or any pointed object will go right through the whole thing.

Bulletproof glass?
Typically polycarbonate...
It can be melted with a torch.

For every security measure you can think of, there is a counter.

The thief can tow the whole car away.
Of if they got bucks, get a helicopter to carry the car away in the air.

I think you're being paranoid about the whole thing.
Make sure you have a good auto insurance policy and pay the premiums on time.

Airbags! Lower the baby down to the ground and no tow. ^_^

Back to the kill switch. Would running the kill switch to the ECU power work as well as a kill switch for the starter? If they figure something out with the starter not getting juice, they can jump that, but if the ECU has no juice, then no start! Is this realistically possible?
