High RPM Turbo Noise

Hey guys, this weekend I installed a godspeed ssq bov to replace my turboxs one. It took a bit of work to get the ssq and piping to fit on my gtu since it was off a rsx but a few cuts and it fits to the stock tmic perfectly. After taking it out for a run I noticed that in the higher RPM range, past 6.5, there is a flutter noise coming from the turbo. After a bit of searching I cant tell if its surge or the wastegate fluttering. Everything I have read so far says both of these happen in the lower range. What initially caused me to think it was surge is I can feel air being blown back up the cai. Anyone know of how to test which it is? Any help is apprieciated

What exactly do you mean by a flutter? Is it a high pitched whistling of oscillating frequency? Does it occur under throttle or when you let off? Can you take a video?

If its when you let off the gas, it is most likely compressor surge. The only good thing godspeed makes is their Radiators :-)

if you changed the BOV and all of a sudden you hear a flutter, most likely its surging.

I managed to open my turboxs outlet back up and replace the vacuum piece and guess what...no flutter! So any one down for a discounted ssqv? Haha
