High oil pressure on Rebuild.

I just started up my freshley rebuilt 90 TII. It started up fine after the fuel circulated through. I noticed, though, that the stock oil pressure gauge was pinned after running for only a couple seconds. I shut it off and the gauge slowly fell back down to zero. It was past the 110 mark or whatever the highest spot is on the stock gauge. I rebuilt the engine myself. The first thing I thought was that maybe the little spring and pellet in the front cover that controls the oil pressure might be stuck. Is that possible. No oil is leaking anywhere though, and at that high of pressure I would have guessed it would be. Is it possible the stock gauge is just fucked? It seemed to work fine before.

Ok, good to hear. If you guys would have thought I needed to take the front cover back off I would have flown to your locations and killed each one of you in order of who said it first. Thanks for the help though I really do appreciate it.
